Hiking Trail Minettswee

The starting point of the third hiking trail in the municipality of Kayl is the former shoe factory in Tétange. This is where the journey towards the former open-cast mining areas starts, where decades ago excavators and trucks still dominated the landscape. The historical information boards along the way focus on the transport of iron ore to the processing sites. A central stop on this circular route is the 'Bremsbierg' at 'Laangenacker'. This technical installation is fully restored and the visitors can learn how the 'minette' was transported down to the valley The trail continues to the loading quays, the railway station and back to the shoe factory.
