Identity

IDENTITY is a pedagogical and artistic creation project developed in the framework of Esch2022-capital Européenne. The project is supported by KnowEdge, an association for the promotion of urban dance. A musician and 4 urban dancers from Luxembourg explore on stage the question of identity of the individual. The residency weeks for the creation of the show are planned for 2021 and 2022. Several cultural centres and communes in the south are partners in the creation: the city of Differdange and the cultural centre AaltStadtHaus, the city of Kayl and the SchungFabrik, the youth service of Esch and Differdange. Through various educational interventions, the artists will introduce young people to the world of urban dance and the values that revolve around this culture. Our performances will end with meeting-debate sessions between the artists and the public around the theme of identity.
