L’Apéro Littéraire LiteraTour 2022

The project is part of the 'Remix your Story' theme on Europe. It revisits, in essays, poems and speeches, the great texts of artists who have contributed to the building of the European entity. It also leads onto the literary creation of today with the 'Laurence Prize' of the Commune of Bettembourg. It allows for the sharing of artistic tools with teenagers and adults through meetings and training courses supervised by professional artists. 

At the end of a writing residency, which volunteer participants can join to prepare the texts and songs for the show, two evenings with the 'Prix Laurence' Literary Apéro will be organised. 

The corpus of texts presented will be drawn from the production and selection of texts by authors submitted for this competition (in Luxembourgish, German, English or French). These texts will be presented in the context of a reading supported by songs performed live and accompanied by professional musicians, in a spatial and emotional proximity to the audience. The cast of professional actors will be reinforced by volunteer amateur readers from Bettembourg and the surrounding area, trained beforehand in an expressive reading workshop led by the company. 

The expressive reading workshop will train the amateur readers to give a physical, emotional and theatrical dimension to the texts read.
