7SÓIS LUSO MED ESCH ORKESTRA

The '7Sóis Luso Med Esch Orkestra' project will create a multicultural orchestra whose 6 participating musicians are chosen from 30 cities in 11 countries of the Mediterranean and the Portuguese-speaking world where the Sete Sóis Sete Luas Festival is held. The production will carry out an artistic residency in the city of Esch and 11 concerts in July 2022 in 11 Luxembourgish cities. It will bring together 6 prestigious musicians from Cape Verde, Spain, Italy, Morocco, Portugal and Luxembourg who do not speak the same language, but who will understand each other with the universal language of music and will develop an original repertoire inspired in the musical traditions of each musician.

In order to get to know each other, 'teambuilding' will take place, which means a shared moment in which the musicians, led by an international conductor, will work together. At the time of the premiere there will be a taster open to the public, who will be able to get to know the artists. The project foresees transnational mobility plans for 5 journalists from different countries, who will travel with the musicians from their own country.
